Fronius TransSteel 2200 Multiprocess Welder, MIG/Stick (4904000033)

The TransSteel 2200 is a compact, 3-in-1 solution. It is the first single-phase inverter power source from Fronius that is also multiprocess-capable, bringing together MMA, MIG/MAG and TIG in a single device. The TransSteel 2200 is characterized by the intelligent design of the device, ease of use, robustness and a high level of reliability. Weight at only 34.2 lbs, one of the lightest devices on the market. Portable and will run off up to a 330 foot extension cord with no issues. Ability to MIG weld aluminum without the need for a spool gun. Option to run small 1lb spool or up to 10lb spool without the need for an adapter.
Faster Process Switching

A second gas solenoid valve on the rear enables rapid process switching without having to reconnect the welding gas.

Easy Spool Change

A side cover that opens downwards gives easy access to the wire-spool. The spool can be changed without tools.

Integrated Polarity Reverser

By reconnecting the integrated polarity reverser, flux core wires of different polarities can also be welded.

Integrated Wearing Parts Box

A wearing parts box integrated in the housing of the power source is a handy storage tool.

Machine Functions:

TAC

With TAC, one spot is all it takes for tacking, because the pulsed arc sets the two weld pools in motion, making them jump together in next to no time, to make one single weld-pool. The TAC function is also very useful when welding light-gauge sheets without filler metal.

Spot & Interval Welding

Spot and interval welding are ideal for applications where thin sheets need to be welded, as the heat input is not so high. The arc intervals can be adjusted to suit the individual requirements and are applied to the workpiece with complete consistency.

Touchdown Ignition

Touchdown ignition can be used in particular for sensitive application areas. This allows electromagnetic interference, which can occur during HF ignition, to be avoided.

Intuitive Operation

Get welding straightaway in three easy steps by setting wire, wire diameter and gas. A wide range of characteristics are already pre-set on the device.
